I'm a painter, which is construction, which is considered essential. But the clients are starting to dry up. This is good news! I have plenty of food stored and savings in the bank, so my plan of action for when the painting work goes vapor is just draw, draw, draw!
I've reorganized my Trello to list commissions and commission slots as well. That way if FA goes down again I can still link people to my commission info. I've modified commission prices only slightly, and added special offers to boot! This is all in preparation for the storm. Right now I still have plenty of work in my inbox, but as soon as that inevitable block of time hits me I'll post some new commission slots.
I got a taste of freedom a couple weeks ago with four workdays off in a row, and it's rekindled my fervor for full time artistry. After some figuring I've lowered my Patreon goal to $1000/month for quitting my job and pursuing the art, bringing the dream much closer to reality. That's low and really scraping by, but the art is worth it!
