Readers, how to best help an author

I just wanted to say a few things.

First of all, I write what I like BUT I also want OTHERS to like it and read it too.  I have standards in place...weak standards to be sure but I have them... So I try to make sure I write quality stuff.

As the old saying goes, behind every great writer is a great editor.   Someone to point out "hey, that doesn't make any farging sense!" When an author decides something would be "cool" to have happen.

For me the prime example would be
WaffleSquadron
WaffleSquadron
.
Waffles is a very cool person, friendly, easy to chat with, and helpful.  Without his set of eyes you wouldn't bother reading anything I write.

Think "star wars" (ep, 4,5,6: a new hope, empire strikes back, return of the Jedi).    Those were done by Lucas.  With his then wife Marcia Lucas as editor and someone who could safely say "that's stupid, don't do that!"

Compare to the star wars prequels. (Bleh.... phantom menace and some others whose names I forget.)
Prequels were terrible.   Love scenes with Anakin Skywalker especially.
Lucas was"The big cheese" and no one dared tell him his ideas were stupid.  Yeah...that's what I mean.

As for writing...I write, do (hopefully) good stories that have a decent plot, good characters, some feeling and emotion, and some good pleasure sharing sex.

When you read anything ALL I SEE is the view counter go up by one count.   I have NO IDEA if you clicked, puked on your own shoes after sentence one and backed away....or spent an hour reading and re-reading the story because it was so great....or started reading, got excited and spent an hour trying to use that frozen turkey in the refrigerator as a sex toy.

If you really like what I write Please leave a comment or send a private message to me.

After that FAVORITE a story.  I'd much rather have 50 active comments than 100 favorite counts.  Perfect world I'd like both.

If you are afraid of commenting then drop me a PM (private message).

Or pop on to "writers Crossing" discord server.  I'm often there. (As "sumdumguy")

As far as my standards go:
Characters need to react as they would in real life -
Meaning you will NOT see a character who is traumatized decide to start fucking like a horny rabbit because a partner is there.

Sex will be about "sharing pleasure" and caring.

Villains might be an exception to sharing rules but anything they do will not be "on camera" and justice will be served.

Just a few thoughts.
