This is some up-side down nega-world right now; republicans are demanding government ownership over state enterprises and centrist democrats are expanding their smears against Bernie (who is rejecting their means test bs and also proposing a comprehensive response) to encompass them as well now. The gop proposal still isn't a lot, but its surprising to see anything - especially something that would be a veer towards the economic left - from republicans.
Meanwhile Bernie Sanders and other Democratic Socialists and aligned folks are still raising money for mutual aid networks - completely bypassing the gridlock.
And on another note that is related; for whatever reason it seems trump offered aid to the DPRK? 'Juche trump' was a meme, but its increasingly looking less so and I'm not sure how to feel about that really.
Also, biden is still seemingly invisible on the public scene despite assurances that he was going to make some sort of response soon. A lot of people were joking about him being dead but I'm starting to think he might be; either that or sick and they are trying to delaying having to announce it.
