Me and the virus

by
So first Nope I don´t have it (yay) doesn´t mean I won´t get it but that´s another storie

Second please people stay indoors and/or not in large groups.
This situation is taxing to all of us but some rules should be common by now.
No shaking hands or touching faces
keep some distances if you need to shop or be outside
and if you shop do it responsible no overmass shopping

I live with my Ma and Grandma (89 years) together
My Ma is a nurse and got allready her papers as a systemimportant person status.
I also go still to work but it´s a matter of time that we close down.
at least I have netflix to watch and several books to read

I just want to say please stay safe you all

I've already been "self quarantined" for like 6 months due to unemployment... so yeah... nothing much has changed.

I did had to cancel several birthday parties, Paintballgames, familiegatherings etc. while I am a hermit most of the time I like to hit the cinema once in a while which is also not possible.
So yeah some adjustments for me

yeah, not saying it ain't rough for others. I used to go out like 2-3 times a week just to grab misc things and try to be social. Now I've bought about 3-4 weeks of food, 12 weeks of distilled water for my cpap (sleep apnea), and other misc things to try and wait it out.

Depends on if the Dems can push through any of the plans they got. The debt forgiveness on school loans for economic stimulus would help me greatly. the 10K would get rid of a third of my remaining debt... the 30k version I heard about would almost completely destroy it. I could afford to take a lesser paying job... maybe even do the lending process to get a house rather then rent.

Honestly I dont understand why education is so expensive.. and yet there are some who have degrees and cant even get a job in the degree they have..

My brother in law went to school for 8 years to get a masters degree.. and it loomed him with a hundred grand in debt...
He partied to the last payment last week,, after 11 years of payments.. 3 to five at a time and larger sum payments,, he paid it off..

Thankfully he does have a good job in the field he is in ... his job gave him incentives to get a masters degree..

Most of us will never get that chance if it wasn't for grants scholarships or pall grants..

smh...

yeah. and sadly I've only ever been able to pay the min payment. I was like 3 months away from actually smashing more money into it when I paid off my car... then my job pulled up stakes.

I had to run to Best Buy in Edmonton yesterday. I'm glad I got there 10 minutes before they opened. You had to wait outside, 2 feet between customers and they were only letting in 10 people at once, one at a time.

Most stores (grocery/hardware) are to reduced hours of 8am-6pm/8pm. Most places aren't accepting cash or only at one till.
Home Depot is counting customers, limiting to 50 in the store at one time, they closed the entrance and everyone is going thru the exit split into two lines. Tape on the floor at the tills for 2 feet of space per person.
The store I work at (small hardware/lumber store) is really doing nothing to protect us workers except for sanitizing the store every three hours. And apparently we are classified as an essential service.
Some places I go to do some special order pickups won't even let you in the office anymore.

It is amazing, that my store was busier on Friday then during most of the last couple of months. Sometimes I will tell people they are crazy for being out, that they should be staying at home, but they just don't seem to care. Contractors are most of what we deal with and a lot of them are just not that smart.

I keep getting emails from places I have shopped at and they are closing the stores. All schools are closed indefinitely and parents are picking up the kids stuff. I feel bad for all the grads this year and not having a grad ceremony.

The only good thing right now is that gas is down to C$0.649 per litre!!! Too bad you can't go anywhere!

Yeah I was yesterday at a grocerie stsore for some little things I forgot the other day
and it was a ghosttown but tape on the floor how you had to go through the isles and security who made sure that you keeped your distances to other customers

It´s all really scary I admit

I got calls from my credit card and banks that they were only doing things via drive up phone or internet...

I also have seen what you described here in my lil town here on the coast of NC,,

What is weird is that most people are really nice and understanding.. being patient and all... but some have 15 packs of chicken in their carts thinking they are going to ring out...

yes be safe out there..

I unfortunately cannot work from home because I work in a non profit doing physical labor and driving.. soI am here at home but I am doing my part and that is staying at home,  No unnecessary outings and stuff...

If I could social work.. I  would love to do it,, (But I don't do social things like facebook, etc)

Who knows someone who is out there in their homes may be remote controlling the riding mower to cut the grass from the couch..
