Coronavirus updates - living in italy

Well... as many of you may have heard, Italy is currently one of the countries that suffer most for the covid-19. I am also living the most populated/modern/and for this reason hurt region (Lombardia, close to Milano city). None of my relatives or close friends had hit, but the numbers are growing and society quickly it's changing to a point where we lives closed at homes, exit one-by-one with mask and gloves etc..

As weird outcome, my job as math&science teacher was obviously shaken. After having missed a full-week of payments for no-contract made (i go with contracts week-by-week because of some weird burocracy), i managed to secure it for this and following considering that we're doing "digital lessons" in place of the usual ones.

I admit it's not that bad, considering few students follow the live forums and i just have to record some videlessons for them (without interruptions etc...)

------------------

I am however slightly worried and sad over the Fauntastic convention in France. Scheduled for 10 April, so far no news of closing it down, but i have fear there could be limitations to Italians to move.

Fuuck dude, I'm really sorry about hearing that, I hope your country comes back to normal soon or at least Italy can control the virus. My best wishes to you and your people. Kisses and hugs for you, Koooskia!

I don't know how this is going to turn out here. I'm about to get prepared for a long, long sit-out, I guess. I'll be packing a lot of dry foods where you just add water. Mostly grain and rice and such things. Lucky for me I already had some of that. Being one of "those people" who always have a backpack full of related goodies at hand.

Barricading with a rifle at hand likely it's not the solution but... my mother was a doctor specialized in infective diseases (especially hiv) and knew most of the doctors and virologists that are interviewed here locally: she's not much optimistic

I expect no less than at least a year of fallout from this globally.  EVERYTHING is going to be impacted.
