new game theory because of Sonic movie

So, one thing about the Sonic games has always been that Robotnik traps small animals inside his badniks, and they never really explain WHY.  I had always thought the animals were being used as the robot's CPUs, since a mammalian or avian brain can deliver more processing power for its volume and energy consumption than standard computers.  But the Sonic movie has changed my theory.  Sonic's body apparently contains massive amounts of energy, to the point where one of his quills allowed Robotnik to power his battle pod like an infinite battery.  So what if this energy is actually contained within all inhabitants of Sonic's world, and Sonic just has much more of it than anyone else?  That means a random animal from his world might be useful as a power supply for a single robot (you might just say, "In his world, life is strong..." ha) but Sonic himself can power an empire.  This also alters my superhero theory of the Sonic Universe, since other people might manifest different abilities when their bodies contain all this energy, such as Knuckles' superhuman strength or Tails' second tail and flying ability.  This can even explain the double boost ability from Sonic forces or the tag actions from Sonic Advance 3 and Sonic 4, since the source of his power is energy that can be shared and temporarily imparted on others.

I too theorize the quill power. Now  thats not a full canon to the game.
But if so.....
Wao...
That means in sonic post-adventure, everywhere sonic goes.... Robotnik is just quill collecting for his army. So ... A hero act, drop resources to the villain's asset to harm the hero. (a constent cycle)
