They released me this afternoon so I am at home, everything went well except for losing a toe, I lost the second toe on my left foot.
All the nursing staff and doctors and surgeons and everything were very good and very nice to me except for the one emergency room Dr. he tried to use scare tactics on me about my foot saying that they would probably have to cut half my foot off for all of it, trying to make it like it was my fault that this happened I tried to explain to him that I know about diabetic stores especially ones on your feet and that I was doing everything that I knew to do and then it just swelled up and the side of my toe opened up and after that I come to the emergency room.
The doctor told me it was not my fault the surgeon he said that from what they could figure out from all the x-rays MRI and everything that the piece of glass had scratch the bone when I cut my toe with it started the infection there even though the outside healed up infection was going on inside the bone and did not reveal itself until it was too late and the bone had already died and came apart inside my toe and then when the side of my toe opened up the bone worked its way out and that's what I pulled out of the side of my toe when I was cleaning, they have me on a heavy antibiotic and oxycodone for pain.
I have a doctors of ointment next week for him to unwrap my foot again change the bandages and he said he may take out the stitches then and he may not I am not on any restrictions he says I can do normal activities, I seem to be walking fine I do have to wear a surgical boot on my foot but all in all all things considering I am doing okay.
I thank all of you who prayed and sent good wishes my way thank you very very much.
