They FINALLY eat!

It's up to three mice captured for release when it gets warm. I know it's only been a few days but the not eating still had me worried. Finally they take food, cut up a bit of an apple for them and they dragged it right into the little TP tube roll I gave them. They're still scared and jumpy but I hope the eating is a good sign. Tomorrow I got someone who's had pet mice going to the pet store with me to help me get a few things to make the stay easier on them. I hadn't really planned to shop for more than food and maybe something better to act as a hiding den but it's cruel not to.

you should really be careful you might end up domesticating them and they would not be able to fend for them self, I recommend you look for a back up plan incase they get domesticated

Indeed that is something I fear happening if I have to keep them longer than weeks. It's been in the 20s and 30s (US scale I hate to admit heh don't ask me to convert I haven't finished my coffee yet so my brain doesn't work)..As for a plan well not sure. I can't have small pets like that very long, I sink into deep depressions and that's no good for them. Sure I can think of something and hope for what's best for them.
