Hey, everyone. I know I'm taking some time off right now and left a list of requests, but I got some heartbreaking news.
On the morning of Sunday, the 26th of January 2020, there was a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Here's the shocking part: Kobe Bryant, an NBA legend lost his life in that helicopter crash. He was 41 years old when it happened. He also had his 13 year old daughter, Gianna with him. Sadly, she was lost in the crash as well with several other people.
This was very shocking. Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest basketball players ever. He spent 20 years on the Los Angeles Lakers and played over 40,000 basketball games. In fact, I actually met him and Shaquille O'Neil during a basketball game at the Staples Center. I was in the fifth grade when I saw them and even gave me some basketball souvenirs.
Hearing what happened to Kobe Bryant was just... heartbreaking. And I'm sure the Lakers and everyone else in Los Angeles were stunned at this as well. Heck, not a day goes by where my family don't see a Lakers game. He was good man and a great basketball player. God has called him home and he will be sorely missed.
