OMG...I found Family Dog complete

by
0_0 I haven't seen this show since....1991 er 93 ^^;. Holy crap...
And today I just happen to google for it and blam, somebody happened to have a laser disc of it and made a torrent. I adored that cartoon! For those of you who don't know about it, it's a cartoon made from the point of few of a small dog living with his less than loving family.  Check out this youtube clip of the amazing stories episode from 1987

gods,, people are really looking for this? I lost complete interest by the time the mother showed up and started bitching about her life. the son is a little monster that needs a belt whipping, the mother need's some zanaix or prozzack, the father should be smacked upside the head and,, I don't know about the guy in the yellow shirt probably a smack too.

I don't know what else to say about it tho other then it was a wast of my time. can someone please give me a reason why people are looking for this? it really doesn't seem worth it.

It's called satire
That's great you hate it so much and can write up a paragraph about your hatred. The cartoon is a sort of dark exaggeration of the typical american family. I've seen so many people in real life that act just like that. Place all of that into a cartoon from that point of view of a dog just trying to live as a dog around these crazy people and it's rather funny. Kind of like how you actually wrote so much about how you hated a simple cartoon while others enjoyed it. That's actually funny too.

wow,, relax I was just giving my opinion and asking anyone out there to give me a good reason to watch the rest. if your going to snap at me like that just for making a comment and asking for something from others viewing it I wont bother to make another.

Sorry, but the way you stated your opinion was pretty harsh:
" gods,, people are really looking for this? I lost complete interest by the time the mother showed up and started bitching about her life.

" I don't know what else to say about it tho other then it was a wast of my time. can someone please give me a reason why people are looking for this? it really doesn't seem worth it.

From the those two quotes alone, it really seems like nobody can possibly change your opinion and you've already made up your mind about how to feel about the show. The only reason I could see would be that you either don't like satire or don't understand satire. Rug Rats is similar show. Done from the perspective of a baby/toddler and adults are portrayed as clueless and rather dumb at times.

I snapped at you because I've waited 20 years to see this show again, I like it a lot. You watch it for less than 5 minutes and criticize it to bits because you don't like the characters. Yes you have the right to say what you want about it, I didn't agree with it though. You reacted very strong to the show and wrote about it, I reacted strongly to your writing and gave you a response.

It is strange what and what does not come to Europe.

When I was small the TV was full of anime (in the 80's), although we didn't call it like that back then XD.
There were some japanese-austrian-german collaborations even for producing shows (Maya the bee, Vicky the Viking, Pinocchio...)
