Need some intel (art 'thief')

Heya everyone, I've always been getting these 'odd'  spikes in watches, faves and such on specific days or art-pieces wich have been in my gallery for a while at seemingly random.
It's like there's art being uploaded to a specific site or brought up on a forum of sorts.

I'm not really too mad about it since there appears to be someone referring/crediting/linking me at least (or they used image finding software to trace back the source..)

I'd just like to know where and why it's happening and I'd rather be asked for permission to use my: drawn, commissioned or gifted art in any shape or form.
It's not too bad when they at least have the decency to properly credit those who own/draw it, but it's still not fully 'cool' with me when it's not at least mentioned to the people involved.

Early on it was a bot from rule34 simply posting art as soon as it's uploaded without any credit to the artist or me, so I blocked that from happening a while back, but considering it's happening with older pieces it appears to be manual, main guess is a 'discord group' or something.

If you are the person or know them, please contact me privately.
Thanks in advance :)

I'm pretty much only on here, and I haven't seen anything the only discord group I frequent, but I can check a few others.

Currently it targeted this piece on FA http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21534682/ but it's been doing random on both FA an IB, sometimes it's not even faves but just followers on both, 1 or 2 folowers at random isn't so weird, or a fave spree.

But when you get like 10ish random watchers or faves (from different ppl) you've never seen around your content in a 18hour timeframe it's a bit funky, and then still a few lingering ones the days after.

It's probably on the Twatters or Discord. There's a few people who post stuff on art threads and drives traffic to your profile.

As long as they are crediting the proper people (artist and or art-owner's) and link the piece it's 'okay' to me, but I'd just like to know where it's happening and why/how.

I figure it's something like those yeah.

i know a community that operates like this and they've done it with your art before but i haven't heard of anything new like that since last year.

images are used for things like irregular memes and reaction images for whatever is relevant to the topic and flow of conversation at the time.

nobody in that community claims the art as their own and they often give links to the source which explains the traffic.

though my neck of the woods hasn't done that to you in a while, there are a few copycat communities so i'm guessing they might be following suit. i dunno, i don't go there.

our community tends to take from the top trending images or most popular of the day but the copycats once finding art from a certain artist tend to use the same artist or even same images over and over.

i mean i could be wrong but just saying that if it's us guys you don't need to worry. nobody's stealing your art.

Hmm yeah, that's another I've considered, It appears to be a fairly big group thing as only a % of the individuals exposed to it tend to go through the efford of faving, following or searching the source.

It's just a bit weird and anoying if that makes sence.

Hmmmm...I know when you had your Easter Egg Hunt, I faved a bunch of your Old Art on here. I'll twist a few arms and bash a few skulls and see what I can dig up.

That's not too weird, both because it's a related/relative thing that one can expect to happen, a fave spree isn't weird either when you get a new follower or someone stumbling across your art here and there, but when it coïnsides with numerous people doing it suddenly or simply watching/faving a specific art-piece and what not, is odd when it's not 'recent' ;s

Well I ran a google image serch of the Pic and came up with Bupkis, which is kind of weird. I don't have Tweeter so I can't ask around there, but I'll keep asking around Discord and see if I can dig something up.

Sounds like those random art twitter groups. They almost never post any text , so theirs no credit to the artist. So the only way to find them is google image search.

Proberbly yeah, I think it's more of an obscure platform or such tough, but it's likely not credited yeah, wich is disturbing, at least people are finding the source somehow so it's a conflicted feeling.
