It's seem they ban it to prevent me using it from making new account. They also know my name so I think unless I use someone else identity. I wouldn't be able to use paypal for life.

The easiest way around that is to request a new card and card-number via your visa account issuer.

I semi-recently lost my account in a permanent ban due to a violation of banking laws in some respect. What you'd need to do is set up another account with a new-email, phone number, a different bank account (can be with the same bank) and a different card (can be tied to the same account as the blacklisted one).

It is against Paypal's TOS to do pornographic work, so when taking commissions you need to bill for your time, not the art itself.

Being banned for violating some banking law that's a joke to me. Paypal isn't a bank and doesn't want to be a bank otherwise they'd probably be answering questions from the government

They still have to adhere to certain international banking laws, mostly with regards to lotteries and money laundering.

You got banned becaus of selling your art? If they will ban NSFW artists for selling there art, maybe someone reported you or something.
I still think they need to say why they did it.

It's not confirm since they didn't really say what rule I broke. But it's the most possible reason. I'm not sure what to do now. Are there any alternate app than paypal?

well, I think they need to say what ToS you broke before they do something. but still, if it is NSFW art I think its still just art and no one got hurt or used for it

Agreed. Paypal needs to burn in fire.

I got screwed over back in 2007. Bought an item on ebay, the guy never sent it, took the money, closed his paypal account and ran. Tried for 2 weeks to get paypal to get my money back, never helped me. I went to my bank, explained everything, showed them the back and forth with paypal. They sided with me, did a reverse charge and got my $750 back. Paypal wasn't happy, froze my account and harassed me by phone for 4 years, calling 5 to 20 times a day (not shitting you).

So, now I can't even use paypal, unless a seller has the on-site payment thing where it takes you to paypal and you put in your credit card info. I can still buy stuff on Ebay using the method I just said, but if it requires an account, I'm SOL.

Think paypal may not allow NSFW content in general. Maybe that has changed and they just dont allow cub but im pretty sure I remember in the past they had some sort of policy against transactions involving sexual content. Pretty sure most people that use paypal for porn transactions are breaking their rules.

The main solution I've seen many artists use is to send the commissioner a paypal invoice for the amount, and then to simply say something along the lines of "for commissioned artwork" or something of the sort, and keeping the language generic and PG.

As far as I know, doing NSFW commissions has been not really allowed on Paypal per their Terms of Service. That said, if you had people send money as friends/family for things instead of paying for a good/service, they'll knock you with a ban there, too.

It's unfortunate that they seemingly have a monopoly on the market.

That really sucks :(

Some artists who can't use paypal go through bitcoin, but that really limits your clients. Google Pay/Google Wallet may be an option, though I haven't heard a lot about people actually using it. Venmo is also under Paypal, so that's out of the question.

Google Pay/Google Wallet said "If you're in the US or UK, you can transfer money to people who live in your country. You can't transfer between the US and UK or to people who live in other countries."

I saw Teedraws talking about Square as a good alternative to Paypal. I've also bought art from someone who uses Commiss.io and that was a cool site. Hope that helps!

You are not the only cub artist that got banned by PayPal. They do it right now... I don´t know how they find out but I guess you have to find another way to get the money for commissions.

I know someone that use squareup.com now.

How they can check what you sell. You sell your time and work, whatever and in exchange you get paid. Your art is none of their business.

Idk too. I saw some people like "TribalDragon" told me that they can auto ban if some of my customer write a auto ban words in the payment note. Maybe they have super AI or something.

As far as I know PayPal doesn't allow the sale of pornography so yeah if they suspect your account they will ban it promptly.
This usually happens because either the seller or buyer leaves a comment or something similar that will flag your account to be checked. This can also happen if you receive too many "Gifts" instead of payments/invoices thinking your trying to avoid proper taxation and fees and what not.

yeah, i got banned on paypal awhile ago,  the wording at that time was "no adult content"  which would include a huge spectrum of stuff including nsfw.  any trigger word in a transaction, and that doesn't just mean with you as I'm pretty sure the ban I got was due to someone I purchased from and then they banned accounts linked to him.

can't think of much that would work off the top of my head but pretty sure there are alternatives..

might want to check through pixiv possibly.    also Kofi?  kinda bouncing through other providers that people use to get donations, etc

Screw paypal, use Payoneer or cryptocurrencies. I have accepted crypto in the past for commissions, very easy. There are no charge backs either.

Paypal is an evil company that has enjoyed leniency on banking and merchant regulations for too long. Hard to wait for ebay to dump them, ebay is the only place I use them at.

Also, DO NOT leave money in paypal, or in the account attached to paypal.
