Computer - Twincest Temporarily on Hold

So, uh, my computer died.

I've been using Toby's laptop for the last very long time, and it was yet another HP laptop with it's notorious recall issues and things, and it finally bit the dust. I have a Mac Mini as well, but I lent it to a friend so she could finish her school work, because her laptop just died.

So yeah, this means that Twincest will be on hold for a little bit. Sorry about the delay like this, it was really unexpected for me, as well :/

I plan on getting a desktop computer to replace it, since I prefer those anyway, and want to be able to play Minecraft without the comp I'm using to start smoking practically, let alone more graphic intensive games. Toby has kindly ordered me one already, but now I need to pay him back for it, so I'll probably be doing some cheap sketches or something to make up the cost.

On the bright sight, my productivity has gone up since I can't check Memebase right now, ha ha. I think this is a good indication that I should manage myself better on the computer, once I get one back again.

Anyways, this means I may be pretty quiet for a bit, as I'm using Toby's laptop in the mean time to check things. I also can't scan any traditional artwork, because the scanner I have isn't compatible with any other computer in the house. May need to get a new one of those, as well. The one I have, I got for free, and it's very old, so it's about time for it anyway.

well....I am a computer tech, and I build computers from the ground up. If it would help I can suggest some computer parts for you to get for the price you want to pay for a computer and guide you on how to put it all together. If you are interested contact me on a messenger and I can work with you.

Thank you very much for the offer. I think I'll be alright though, my mate is pretty good with piecing together computers as well; we managed to find a nice one for about $500, which is what  I was looking to spend. I appreciate your kindness ^_^

If you end up needing any help, Tokalub and/or I would be happy to help.  I've been out of touch with him as of late, but I've met him in person and chatted with him in depth.  You're in good hands should you need 'em.  :-)

Fluff and I have talked computers before so yeah use us if you or your mate need us. I know that I have tons of spare computer parts all over, from CD/DVD-Roms and so on. Even cables and connects if need be. Never the less good luck and I look forward to seeing more Comic pages. I'm sure it's just starting to get interesting ;)

I know that feeling bro. I have this old Toshiba Satellite that was made 5-6 years back. It still runs vista, the built in mouse doesn't work, and the keyboard likes to die. Add the 5 minute boot time, and all the unnecessary boot programs, I'm long overdue for a trip to best buy...

Actually, Minecraft is much more graphically intensive than most people think; despite the low-res textures, it renders every single block within viewing distance of you, even underground or behind things, so on maximum settings, it can be comparable to, say, Skyrim.

Sorry to hear about your compy. I hope you get your replacement soon. :(

minecraft is heavy on the cpu usage though really. my laptop can run it with the cpu load flatlined at 100% usage while it bounces around 91+% while playing WoW. both at a playable chug, with minecraft kinda having half second hangups every minute or so. minecraft will fry your cpu long before your gpu breaks a sweat.

just saying.

also my laptop is 10 years old an running xp, how its still holding on ill never know.
