Unpopular Opinion Time (I think)

One of the things that has been bothering me for sometime for a while now...  This whole "Thicc" crap that's been going on everywhere.  Where artist takes a character and gives them almost obese levels of ass and thighs.

Might be in the minority on this ( and there are many subjects I'm the minority on ), but that just ain't attractive or sexy.  I've been noticing that is gotten more and more common as time goes on.

Making it a bit more challenging to find art of characters and such for a while. x.x.

Anyway, sorry about the negative rant.

Hope everyone has a happy holiday.

I guess it might be annoying, but personally, I think it's refreshing that people with a more meaty build are getting more mainstream attention, compared to when you needed to be unhealthily thin (which some people even took a few steps further (anorexia, bulimia) and significantly deteriorated their health) to be conventionally attractive.

So I, for one, am glad for this embrace of a more healthy body style :3

(But I do agree that some artists overdo it, in a similar manner to hyper; I was never able to find hyper art hot myself)

I get what you're saying.  Though when I'm searching for characters, I am searching for more that's more on model, than super twig thin.

And also there are those that are drawn normal up top, but big from the waist down.  For me that's unnecessary.

Eh, I'm inclined to agree also honestly.

Definitely agree there. Making characters have nice proportions? Sure! Promoting morbid obesity as a sexy thing? Nah fam.

Agreed, but are we referring to the same thing?  Since at least the way I understand it, someone who's thicc has a curvy body (large thighs and butt), and generally needs to exercise to keep looking nice, it's definitely not the same as being fat.

Yeah, just the same as OP who also referenced obesity the same as I did :/

Thicc isn't the same as morbidly obese. Thicc isn't fat either, it's curvy

Depends on who draws it, because it is definitely drawn as morbid obesity in many cases and drawn as curvy in others, then referred to and tagged as “thicc”
Weiss

Then it's tagged incorrectly because thicc is not morbidly obese, thicc is curvy

Probably just different ideas of it then because the majority of the time when I talk to people directly, it’s thicc in reference to extremes. I’ve seen it used for both though so meh

Some people may have a different idea on what "thicc" really is, then.  I've seen both the curves and chunky, labeled at "thicc".  Even people who comments on the images using that term.

I'm not saying you're wrong.  Just saying what I'm seeing.

You're confusing thicc with fat fetish. Don't

I'm not into it, but I know a lot of people are happy about it being more common. I certainly wish some of MY kinks would be more common.

I feel ya there, buddy.

I'd say it would depend on how it is used.  IF used wrongly... it'll be a very unflattering thing.  But if used right it can make a difference but I'll admit some get it wrong.
