i've got an ipad 3g and i love the interface of it ;)
it's a few years old now but still holding up.
i find it much more useful on the go than a laptop or netbook alltho a netbook that doubles as a tablet would be sweet

Full size OS and all :p

Android is the operating system it uses. You know, like Windows or MacOS on your full size computer.

I saw where you were in line and boy that new phone, Guess its android too and mine updated with the newest android the day after I bought it. I want to buy the docking station fow mine that makes it a laptop, its only 119.00 with free shipping. I have lots to learn but didn't get service as I can use wifi for now, I have a pay as you go phone so won't need to pay for service. Hope your new phone is way cool and all they say it is. hugs my little fox man.

I decided to hold off on top soil for yard till next month so went out and with this Asus transformer pad you can buy a keyboard for around 120.00 to make it into a small laptop, I have over 500.00 in it now but not bad for a good tablet, even bought a blue tooth ear thing for skype and chat.  it has battery to extend it to 16 hours of run time and many ports and things. I can still use the touch to go and do things but now have full keys too and closes like a laptop. It can be undocked when wanted too. I find new things it can do daily. Uploaded the android 4.0.3 the day I got it. Having fun messing with it still and i find you can use for gaming too. ''hugs''

Yes, tablets are fun. Android is a little lacking for my needs so I got the Asus ep121 (mostly for art stuff). And you may be right about them replacing computers someday, Windows 8 is supposed to run on almost the same hardware and it's very tablet based. Personally from what I've read about it, it SUCKS and I hope Microsoft takes a huge hit over it.

Maybe I should wait and see what win 8 is like before buying it then. The Ipad is loaded with lots more apps but more are comming out for the andriods so hopefully they get better. Glad you draw with your tablet and wish that my hands were better to drawwith mine, thats for the comment. ''hugs''

I would wait.
My tablet actually came with a stylus pen which is part of the reason I wanted it. It even has an eraser. :)
I still suck at drawing and I'm trying to get better but I always wreck my paper before I get anywhere. Mostly I've just used it for texturing.

For your tablet, you might want to try this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guyno...
I used to play with it on my phone before I got my tablet. If my screen wasn't so small I might have made some progress.
(hugs back)
