3D Printing?

by
So I'm totally a huge fan of Beastars already, having seen the two episodes out so far and read the manga as far as it's been translated. Seems I'm not the only one, as there's already 3D models available for printing of Legosi and Louis:

Problem is, I lack a 3D printer.

I'm looking for someone out there I could commission to print one or both of these fellas for me, preferably in a material that's friendly to paint. If resin is an option, even better! And if you like them, too, I'd be more than happy to paint copies for whoever could print them as well!

Depending on which side of the country you are closest to, you can always go with Shapeways (based in NY) or Sculpteo (based in France but with a location in CA) for 3D printing. I personally use Shapeways for my figurines. Their "white versatile plastic" (made from sintered nylon powder) works great with acrylic paint, and while the surface is a little rough, there are no print lines and in most cases sanding isn't necessary.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that the print cost does rise almost-exponentially with model scale. The only real limit is your budget.
