Minnie Mouse Woodsculpt

Wow, it's a damn shame this doesn't ship outside the US, I like it so much more than most of the Minnie Mouse plush dolls I've seen...

It seems familiar to me too, though it may just be because Applause made it.

a $6 doll with $12 shipping.... sonds like a scam to me

you dont seem to understand how auctions work. you start with a low bid in hopes it gets into a bidding war so it goes way up.its not a mass quantities doll all sold for $6 each

so you would bid on a $6 item with $12 shipping?
rick2tails

i would if the item was heavy enough to cost that much to ship or if it had insurance or was shipped fed ex or  2 days. have you ever sipped items? it can be expensive to ship things

I've shipped a lot of stuff overseas and locally, but when I've done it, shipping was never twice the amount of the item's price.

on that note, does this item weigh enough for $12 shipping in your opinion?

I dont mean to be rude. but you still dont seem to have a firm grasp on how auctions work. its not an item sold for $6.ts an auction with a starting bid of $6. I am certain the person charging the shipping is factoring materials to ship, postage cost and labor used to package it. Do I think $12 is high? I dont know.Id need to know what the weight and size of the item is, the materials used to mail it out in. I am not debating whether the shipping cost could be lower or not. thats between the shipper and who bids on it. But the fact the shipping is higher then the starting bid means absolutely nothing.

first off, I don't take what you said as rude.  and second, your not knowing if the weight is worth the price is exactly my point.  to me, it doesn't.  even on a starting bid, shipping being twice as high as the "base asking price" smells like a rat.  now this is probably an honest sale, but once again, this isn't worth it to me.

you tried asking the seller if he would ship elsewhere?

I mean he looks like he does a ton of business, can imagine it being an unusual question.

Well, have somebody in the states purchase it and then ship it to you! I'm sure one of us would be willing to be a proxy.
