Power

by
Has a lower standard of living in my childhood made me a stronger person? Or is it something else? Does wishing prosperity and tranquility onto others rob them of power in the end?

As they used to say in the old alt.fan.dragons board.

There is always a bigger, hungrier dragon.

You appreciate life because it is a life you have made, but I do not understand what you mean "rob them of power"; what is power in the sense you speak?

Well... In helping others, even a little bit, I take on their problems yes?

If it is problems and conflict that makes is stronger, or more specific, solving and surviving strife that forges us into better people, Then am I stealing the opportunity to become a better person from others when I help?

Yes, but until you are a god, do not worry about that for the difference is that minute.

I would say yes, because people who lived a lower standard are able to solve problems quicker via 'ad hoc' solutions and are getting easier well with unpleasant things, in contrary of people who live a higher standard, because they're used to delegate hard work and such.

tl;dr: A king/queen can't survive without lackeys and soldiers. And when he has to do their chores for his own, he isn't a king anymore.
