Mostly because of work. I was scheduled from 12-8 today, which, just saying, shouldn't be a bad shift. But every single rude motherfucker that could possibly exist was in the store today. People acting like they know everything when you're trying to ring them up, or just scoffing at you when you ask them something. I can usually handle this, and I was handling it for a little bit, until this one asshole came to my register.
He had a shirt and a pair of shorts. It seemed like a normal enough purchase. As he was about to swipe his card, he stopped. I'll just type the exact dialogue below.
"I think those shorts are actually 60% off."
"Oh they are? Which ones?"
"The ones on the table."
I lean over and look at the table he was talking about. There is a sign, but it CLEARLY says: Polos 60% off.
"The sign says 60% off polos, sir. Not the shorts."
He scoffs at me.
"Well, you guys need to fix that then, because it said shorts were 60% off. That's false advertising. And I can MAKE you give them to me for 60% off."
"Sir...if you really want these shorts, I can get my manager to see if she can do anything about this."
I knew what the outcome would be, but I brought her over anyways.
"What seems to be the problem?"
"Those shorts over there say 60% off!"
She looks over at the table, then back at him.
"Sir, it says polos are 60% off."
"Do you still want the shorts?"
And that was the end of that. Either this piece of shit thought I would just GIVE him the discount, or he was too fucking dumb to realize that shorts was actually the word "polos".
So yeah, I hate people. Day had been blah to begin with, and this just shot it down completely.
Oh yeah, then we had some bitch, her friend, and about 5 kids (about 3 for the one, and 2 for the other) came in our store that were trying to steal from us. Apparently they did get two things, but they had to pay for the rest. Great fucking role model, cunt. I hope your kids get taken away from you and go to jail when they get older.
