I do appologize for asking I hate doing it but I am freaking out right now and am not sure what else to do.
so I need new break pads, new rotors, a new caliper pin maybe 2 cant remember on that and then my break system flushed, I dont remember how much for each they said but they quoted 715 for everything for parts, labor, fees and taxes and it is a 2002 dodge dakota with about 145,000 miles on it

I'm guessing they want you do get front and rear? also why does it need to be flushed? If brakes went out then you lost pressure. They just need to pump the breaks to get air out after replacing the likely broken line. Did they even tell you which went out or why you have to replace the rotors and pads? Rotors can be turned if theres any imperfections and thats usually only caused by hard braking or overheating. Why caliper pins those are metal and if replaced should be dirt cheap. Did you lose pressure in your pedal? Like it went to the floor and brakes weren't grabbing? Or did one seize up?

so my pads where ground to nothing, my rotor on the driver side was gone like I saw it and it looked like it was broken in half, and the rotor on the other side was the caliper was seized on the driver side as for why it needed to be flushed probably cause it has never been done in years
and it went to the floor cause the the front driver side caliper was not moving any more

Damn. Someone hasn't been keeping an eye on their brakes or listening for the squealing or grinding noise. Caliper seized up...ya there's ya money. Pads run ya like 20-50 retail depending if want semi-metallic or ceramic. Semi are fine but produce a good bit of dust. It's what gives rims that greyish black dusting. Ceramics don't do anywhere near as much but I've found are prone to glazing over and squealing way before they should. Rotors and calipers are ya biggies. Calipers run 50-70 each, but you only replace the bad ones and calipers come remanufactured usually. Rotors are about the same as the pads. Depending on the quality of the parts and brand they use you are looking at like $300 for parts alone. And while swapping the pads and even calipers are easy removing rotors can sometimes be a cuss. Then bleeding all the brakes if a time consuming process and usually requires two people.
So much as hate to say it its about right. Sorry, but I tried to see if they were cheating you, but seems no. Abit in cost cause that lovely shop markup and labor, but they gotta make money and no think you know how to work on ya car. Do you? Either way you gotta listen out for those pads. When they start squealing or worse grinding they must be checked and then replaced. If could help I would but doubt you anywhere near me in the SE.

yea they started making noise about a few weeks ago but I think they where bad before that from when my tire went bad so I never noticed it but once they quit on me I was screwed

Tire doesn't affect ya brakes really unless it blew out and damaged it that way. Though ya you shoulda got it checked then. Costly learning lesson I guess. Also don't freak out as nothing can be done. Hell if it wouldn't be an arm and a leg to ship the stuff I'd see if could assist in getting it. Hmm...whats the engine size?
