I've had this problem for a long time, but it hasn't been a roadblock until now.
When I get an idea for a character or character series, I'll seek an artist whose style fits what I want to be the core look, how I want the original "spirit" to be. Myoti had the perfect image for Fetish Friends, so I go back to them for reference images when creating the characters. I now have problems where getting commissions for characters from the artists I chose for two other series of characters has gotten prohibitively difficult. Everything from one artist simply not opening, to another going through a process of sifting through ideas and never making a post if your idea wasn't chosen.
It's entirely my own OCD that's keeping me from seeking other artists because it would make an inconsistency among characters who are supposed to be in the same universe, but I have no idea if it would be to my advantage to keep trying or move on.
