Does anybody cry easily?

by
I do most of the time. Nearly every day. It's usually just watching a show like House, but other times a cartoon like Casper. It can also happen just listening to music, sad or upbeat. A lot of times the cartoon doesn't even have to be sad or have a bad ending, it can be a happy one. On the good side though, I usually feel better afterwords.

For me it depends, I can be a little emotional at times, but stronger at others. In general I seem to be more emotional than my father, but less than my sister.

Either way, I don't see it as a bad thing. I just try not to show it around most people XD

Sounds like your smack in the middle ^^ Yeah, I have cried in public before, it's not a pleasant experience, but not the most awful thing either.

i have never cried.. like.. ever.
it was even written in a child psychology report, from when i was a baby... never cried, not when i was hungry, afraid or alone...  =d  <weird human being>

I was the same way until just recently, mainly because I was beaten when I cried as a child.  But letting yourself cry is such a good thing. <3 *Hugs*
LittleOrion

well i was just beaten in general :P
and since i got thrown around from family to family because nobody really wanted me, i guess i just got used to loss and shit like that, dont need to cry any more.

what's so wow?
Whippy
6 years, 5 months ago
I don't think i've ever met a person who told me they never cried before. That's the wow.  I don't mean any offense. It just seems very very rare to me...since I've been doing it most of my life.

As i said, it probably has something to do with my childhood, the closest i've ever come to crying was the ending of a movie called ink.  i didnt shed tears, but i could feel my self welling up xD

Ever seen Titanic? Or Shawshank Redemption? Those get me every time.
LittleOrion
6 years, 5 months ago
i've seen both of them, none of them have had any effect on me xD...
Tbh, if my best friends and family's funerals wont make me cry, i dont think much will...
Whippy
6 years, 5 months ago
o_o hmm...you might be right about that. Maybe you express it in other ways? Not emotional but physical? That energy has to go somewhere...
LittleOrion
6 years, 5 months ago
huh?... what do you mean?...
Whippy
6 years, 5 months ago
Oh just that emotion is a sort of force in the body. Sometimes when ppl are unable to express a certain emotion, it can affect them physically in some way, like a skin problem, or a cough or headaches, or heart palapitations  for example.

ahm.
Lilo and Stitch 2; Stitch Has A Glitch. It's slowed down a bit, as I use to lose enough tears to say I'm balling. I can't help it, I just feel I need to cry when Stitch dies.
Pokemon The First Movie. When Ash dies.
Usually have wet eyes throughout most of An American Tail; Fievel Goes West. I just enjoy watching that most so much, my tears hardly stop. That has slowed down some.

Music from An American Tail. I don't cry as much as I use to, when I hear Fievel and Tanya sing Somewhere Out There.
Pokemon 4 (The original Pokemon 4)
I only ever got through 15 minutes of the English Dub. Pokemon 4; Celebi, A Timeless Encounter. (English Sub Titles.)
I cry when Celebi dies.
Pokemon season 1 (Pikachu's Goodbye.)
Pokemon season 1 (Thunder shock showdown.)
When Pikachu is one determined mouse, as I laugh at Team Rocket for doing the same damn thing.

I'm sorry,... yeah Looq, it's easy to get me crying at times... sometimes maybe, I'm a little too sensitive. Huggles.

Wow....
I've cried watching:

Time Cop
Anne of Green Gables
Dances with Wolves
Back to the Future
Redwall
UnLeashed
The Shawshank Redemption

Some animated movies that I've cried over:
Howl's moving castle
Ponyo by the sea
I'm sure there's other's...pretty much any Miyazaki movie

An animated series that really got me like practically every episode is 3000 leagues in search of mother. It's about a boy of about 5-7 years old who's mother leaves to go overseas and work to help the family. He ends up searching for her and travels to many different places. I watched this at a time when I was still traveling myself and felt out of place. It really hit home for me and still does even now.

It's okay to be sensitive Fiev. I'd much rather be sensitive than numb any day ^^

i don't do it so much for some of those, but then again, there's some there which i am not sure i have ever saw.
The Shawshank Redemption is one great movie, even though they did mess up a lot of things.
if i get anywhere near crying on that one, it's nearer to the end of the movie.
Andy escapes. probably one of those times.
excited, and wet eyes... haha warden, Andy escaped!
in the book, the warden didn't shoot himself... but Andy screwed him outa his (Illegal Early Retirement Money).
making off with a large enough amount, the warden had no choice but to work to regular retirement.
probably every other, or nearly every other Disney movie does it though.
i actually find comfort in crying while watching movies, as certain parts are on. ;)
i have a feeling, it's the same with you.  <3 <3

I realize this is Looq's journal... but I really wanna say this.

Why would anyone make fun of you in a journal I made about crying easily? Nobody's here for that. If anyone does, I'll block them.
DahMysteriousFreak
6 years, 5 months ago
I wish I could cry more, last time I cried was AFTER the funeral of my grandpa, I cried because I felt heartless and sorry for my grandma

I would say it is hard to make me cry...
but if I hear very good music for example I nearly cry, can't explain it to myself, same with happy endings O:
Whippy
6 years, 5 months ago
That's completely understandable and okay. I love happy endings too and still cry like a baby XD but I don't mind really ^^

NO, I'm a big tough boy!

OK, went and saw Titanic 3D: Retribution and Kate blowin' that whistle still got me. Shhhhhh...
Sometimes it is fun to cry and be emotional over dumb shit like movies. Over real events and happenings... not so much...
Whippy
6 years, 5 months ago
I wouldn't say it's fun to cry over movies....lol. If that was the case, I would be inviting my friends over for a cry-a-thon, but nobody does that :P I usually really like the movies I end up crying over and wouldn't call them dumb unless I was ashamed of it or truly didn't like the movie. Real life stuff, if it's really significant can make me cry when I need to.

I have happy cries and sad cries, and they're usually provoked by music or a memory. With the right trigger, the tears flow easily.

I am an emotional person whether it be love, anger, joy, or tears I tend to express myself. Two of the more recent examples is how I like to cuddle with my mate (though part of the reason I like to cuddle with those I love is I'm a wolf and we are social creatures) and for tears The Funeral of the Going Merry in One Piece (could barely see the screen through the tears)
HeavyheartHare
6 years, 5 months ago
I don't. I wish I did, I'd at least have that outlet. But even when I want to, I have a bit of a block that makes it so no matter how sad I feel, I just... can't. Usually.
Teko
6 years, 5 months ago
I wish it was easier for me to express my emotions, but I was very guarded about it as a kid, and I guess I've never really let myself get over that block.

I don't really cry. But, I don't judge you for being a crier. Takes every type to make this world as awesome and diverse as it is. :)

if many random things make you cry, you probably should have a doctor look into it.
cause thats not really normal
Whippy
6 years, 5 months ago
It's not random really. It's specific. Usually just some emotion i need to get out.
betatest
6 years, 5 months ago
generally no, it usually takes allot for me to loose it.  but last night i started writing the worst story to ever exist.  it's the back story for 1 of the main characters in my game. maybe it's because I've dumped everything from my personal life into this story that was relevant.  maybe it's my knowledge of child psychology as limited as it may be.  or maybe it's my knowledge of sexually deviant behavior and fetishes.  what ever the reason i had to take little breaks every 10 minutes or so and think about something, anything else
CLCoon

I find myself crying easily many a time. =c
Eiko
6 years, 5 months ago
Quite the opposite really. I do get very emotional, but I got messed with so much as a young boy for crying that I had conditioned myself out of it by the time I was a teenager. Now, no matter how depressed I feel, even if I'm all alone and it would make me feel better to cry a little, I can't make the tears come out. I still FEEL like crying, and I still get very worked up, but it would take something severe to draw out one or two tears. ._.

6 years, 5 months ago
I think I'm a bit tough, so... or maybe I just am not that emotional person type... It's not anything that makes me cry, even if I'm sad...
The last thing that made me cry for real was listen to "Comfortably Numb", from Pink Floyd, for the first time (and believe me, that was a long time...)

I don't when I'm with other people IRL, but I often do when I'm alone and emotional, be it good or bad. But most of all when watching a good movie. Even just something like the fast-edited visual-acoustic awesomeness of Kevin Costner's 30-minute monologue in the courtroom scene in Oliver Stone's JFK can make me cry because the editing of both picture and audio is just done so awesomely well! It's crying with strong emotions because you're seeing something where you can tell that the people behind it really knew what they doing and put 110% of their passion and care into it.

During my last two-to-three weeks of an intense Quantum Leap marathon, I find myself crying at the end of pretty much every episode. With some because of the story, with others because of seeing how the cast (Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell as Sam and Al are always marvellous, the roles were really made for them) and crew really know their craft, and often because of both.

For me it seems to depend, I cried when I read these words in the article that
Halo
Halo
has the link to in his Skype status message:

My friend hesitated. “Dan, you are the only friend I have that knows I’m gay. The only freaking one,” he said.

“What do you mean? I know you’ve told other friends.”

That’s when his voice cracked. He began crying.

“Every single person I’ve told has ditched me. They just disappear. They stop calling. They remove me on Facebook. They’re just gone,” he said. “They can’t handle knowing and being friends with a gay person.”

I think I cry around once every three months.
