April status update

by
To start off, I'm feeling a little better for the time being... at least slightly better than when I wrote my last journal. I don't know for how long it will last, given the situation here in Europe is developing rapidly and unpredictably by the day, and the overall fate of the free world and open internet is unknown at the moment.

This is the first point I wanted to start the update off with; The frank truth is that, the current world situation has gotten me into a crippling depression at this stage. Which is an issue because it doesn't let me work on much: I'm trying to find more days in which I'm free from depression enough to continue more projects. But with things getting so bad by the day, I can't even find a few days per week. Apart from my general state of mind, I've had to put more effort into the #SaveYourInternet campaign, including hours of activity on Twitter and calling MEP's on the phone... which again left me with little time to work on anything else. I'm hoping this will finally be over in a month from now... when both the Copyright Directive debate should be closed, but most importantly the European Parliament elections in May are done which are partly fueling this whole insanity.

There will still be new content on Patreon until that date so don't worry: I have existing previews prepared, as well as a new thing to publish soon. Other than that, just working on a bit at once on everything else.

As far as updates on projects go: I've decided to include settings for both the new and old Xonotic config in Vore Tournament. This means it should be compatible with both the existing Xonotic 0.8.2, as well as the upcoming 0.8.3 version. Therefore I shouldn't need to wait for the new Xonotic release to be able to publish VT 2.0.1 as I was initially doing. I still wish to fix a few final bugs before releasing it however, so I'd put the date somewhere around summer.

Lastly, don't forget that Easter is coming in a few weeks. Expect the usual in that regard :)
