Another slow period... :(

Well despite the good news I had last week about being hired in at my job finally, (Which I am still happy about). Now it looks like the rest of this month is gonna be really busy because of some orders we are Months behind on, and I already had to work this past Saturday, and now this week we have to work 10 hour days, so this is definitely gonna wear me out after a while, and doing art is gonna get harder and harder as this continues.

I'm gonna have to close commissions for now, but there are two commissions I am currently working on, and those two will get done as planned, but I can not accept any new ones for a while, probably not until April or so.

Art this Month is just gonna be slow while all this overtime is going on, and believe me its balls to the wall at that place right now, Saturday I felt so exhausted when I got home, I instantly had to take a nap... this is what I mean by wearing me out. And this is not good for art, and it's not good for motivation.

It's kind of funny though, everyone keeps telling me to think of the extra money they are paying us right now and crap, honestly I would rather have my weekends, I would rather work a regularly scheduled week any day then have to work overtime, I hate overtime. Overtime cuts too much into My furry time haha.

So yeah that's all I wanted to say for now, I felt like I should make a journal about this cuz it's looking like this Month is gonna suck for me, and I'm probably not gonna be able to do much art this Month...

It's ok! Work can be like that sometimes. My writing has been slow because of the rigor of my classes, so it's totally understandable! Just remember to relax and de-stress sometimes so it doesn't overwhelm you! Just do what you can! :D *licks*

Don't call it 'slow', it's progress challenged.  :(

Art is gonna get harder and harder eh?  We can wait to see how much suck the month was.  Just don't get the pile of overtime money all sticky and wet.  ;)

Tell ya what, how about making a couple journals instead of drawing because we'll still miss seeing stuff from you?

I'd be interested in stuff like what were your favorite five pictures you drew, what ones were the most difficult, what new characters you would want to learn to improve your skills, what themes you like and what ones you would like to try, those kinds of things.  :)

I have actually thought about making another random facts journal sometime, I actually like making those :P

As far as my favorite five pics that I have done, hmm that's a hard one, it kinda changes over time, a lot of the pics I did in 2016 that I loved are now starting to look a little cringy to me, so it varies. But the ones that I like right now that I have done would probably be these 5:

https://inkbunny.net/s/1698283
https://inkbunny.net/s/1677132
https://inkbunny.net/s/1576082
https://inkbunny.net/s/1820701

As you can see, they are all pretty recent stuff :P

A lot of pics that I have done were pretty difficult, its kinda hard to think of which pic was the hardest though. I have had several pics in the past that started out bad and I almost scrap them, but I stick with it anyways and sometimes they end up becoming some of my best stuff.

One character that I still would like to get better at is Rita, I feel like I still can't draw her the way I want.

Some new characters I would like to draw would probably be some Zootopia characters. I have only drawn Nick and Judy once, and it was years ago, I'd like to give both of them a try again sometime.

How about this, if all the drawings were at the same a quality level, what five scenes/character/pose drawings would you like best?  Since your drawings tend to go in character themes, it is sad that you don't like the earlier drawings as they had fun characters.  For example, your earlier stuff had the nut job squirrels, then watership down, then kind of a mix of various characters.  I like some of your earlier squirrel action/poses/characters as much as your recent, improved drawing style.

Well I mean I'm not saying I don't like my older stuff, I mean if it wasn't for that older stuff I wouldn't be where I am now. It's just that I can't help but find mistakes when I look at them now, and I can't help but cringe a little at some of them. But I don't hate them, I think it's cool to look back on that stuff anyway, and sometimes I'll even redo some of them. But there are some drawings that I did even back in 2015 that I am still impressed with to this day.

Also yeah I used to draw a lot of nut job art, I remember posting nothing but nut job art for months at a time back in 2014 and 2015. The nut job was actually how Skate the squirrel started, I was drawing so much squirrel related art that people started calling me a squirrel, and it just kinda went from there XD
