Well, Pokemon fans, Gen 8 has finally made itself known. Before the end of 2019, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be released for Nintendo Switch. When it does, you will be starting a new adventure in the Galar region, based on somewhere in Europe, and will be given a choice between a curious monkey, a rambunctious bunny rabbit, or a shy gecko to become your first Pokémon. While I do not abhor the announcement of this news, my only hang up with this new generation is that once it is released, (Ultra) Sun and Moon will fade away into the depths of irrelevance, and thus, so will my fanfic. But I understand how progress works. Once it’s unleashed upon the world, it grows out of control forever, and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it.
