Yup, that's what the government told me I had to pay today.

Part of the agreement of them paying for my school was showing receipts for books and tuition. Since I haven't bought books since 1st semester that's the amount I owed them.

Luckily I'm a smart cabbit, and I knew this was gonna happen so I didn't spend the money. However it still sucks to have to go down there and hand over almost $2k. Still my school is almost done now. Couple more weeks and I can go find a job.

Anyone need a good programmer? x3

You had to show receipts? My scholarships and grants gave me everything the college didn't take. It didn't matter whether the additional money went towards books, uniforms, gasoline, or my general cost of living. Then again, I'm not a programmer, lol.

This isn't a scholarship or a grant. It's a gov't program where my school is 100% paid for so long as I don't fail anything. Well not including software/hardware of course >_>

Either way, it was clearly outlined in their agreement. I just made sure not to be a dumbass and spend it like most people do.

"It's a gov't program where my school is 100% paid for so long as I don't fail anything." That describes my scholarship to the letter. The state gov paid for it using money from the lottery. It covered 100% tuition, but it gave me the rest to cover books and cost of living. I'm glad that you understood the terms of your program though. :3
