Update for everyone.
So Tonight is going to be a big night for me. Some of you may not understand because it may not be your thing. Tonight Kingdom Hearts 3 finally gets released to the world after well over a decade since the first. I've been one of the biggest fans of this franchise since i was literally a child, 12 years old. Disney and Video Gaming have been a major defining key in my life that makes me who i am. My first movie as a toddler i remember was Disney animated Snow White. i Grew up in the Disney Renascence & the Prime Peak of Video Gaming on the rise with Super Nintendo and Playstation ETC. It was a beautiful era to be a part of. When Kingdom Hearts hit the scene back in 2002, Combining both of these things in such a way that NOBODY could comprehend at first it resonated with me in a way i'm sure many of you have felt with something special in your life that helped define you.
Whats so special about tonight is that after 16 years and with 9 key titles in the franchise, and having grown up experiencing all of it. tonight is the release of the big FINALE. Basically the End of an Era for me and probably many others. Oh i'm sure the Kingdom hearts series will continue as will i along with it but this is the final chapter to a scenario that's been going on since i was a child, and here i am almost 30 years old and its hitting its climactic conclusion.
I know some will see this as a dumb video game thing, my parents especially, but for many of us, this is going to be a big deal and its going to be heavy and emotional because it's PART of US. It runs deep. It's a little difficult to explain how i feel about this. excited, bittersweet, ecstatic, its a whole rush of emotions. I'm sure while playing this entry. i will cry a lot, and i'll probably want to be alone while i experience it, No live streams, None of that fancy stuff. Just Me. the Game, the Adventure. in Isolated glory, the same was it was back when i was 12. I'm going to be that little boy again. and close the book on the Xehanort Saga. All i can say is Thank you Disney, and Thank you SquareEnix for making this small piece of me something i'll always remember.
