TL;DR version: At this point I would totally trade in my tablet for a nice set of copic markers.

TL version: So I finally figured out that I'm just not a digital artist. I'm just plainly not. Simple as that. I love the tactile sense of manipulating physical objects into shapes, forms and colors. I don't get that with the tablet. Sure it's cool to watch strokes made on plastic form on the screen... but it just doesn't click with me. I love pencils and pens; ink and charcoal. I love watching characters and emotions appear out of the strokes I put on paper.
With that said I want to delve more into traditional again. Sure the scan in's always suck and streaming traditional is much much harder... but it's what I do. I want to try out copics some day. They're expensive as !@#$ though, so I probably won't be just up and buying those. I'll probably browse the school art section and see if there isn't a midway brand between Crayola and Copics, so I can try them out and see if I'm any good with them.
