Cleaning time (again)

You may all be wondering: "Tahlian, what are you doing?"
Well, it's time to clear some stuff up. Buckle up!

Tumblr
The main reason for this post is Dumblr. I abandoned Fumblr on the 17th of December because they replaced the layout to default and I can't even view my own page outside of the dashboard.
Yet people keep sending messages over there (probably because of the anonymous option), so I've decided to purge my old page and make a new one where people can post questions. Mind you, I'm still not going to use it as often.

My new page is: Tahlian.tumblr.com (which I swear was not available back when I started)
My old page will have a link to the new one and a download link to the archive of the art that was posted there (some of it was technically Tumblr exclusive because DA deleted stuff and I never posted everything to InkBunny)

Blender
This has been a thought that was haunting my mind for a while. With Newgrounds banning SFM art (& rumors of Inkbunny not liking SFM), I've made my choice to abandon SFM as my go to art program.
Mind you, I don't hate SFM. I appreciate the program for helping me get where I am now, but it has it's flaws. For me, it's the next step in 3D art to go Blender.
But yes, starting 2019 I'm doing Blender art instead of SFM. The goal for me will be to get the KabalMystic models I want to work in Blender, it's a slow and painful process, so far I only got Felicia to work because I love her :p

Source Filmmaker support
While I'm no longer doing SFM art, I will still try to support models for it. Like KabalMystic's model edits and clothing options. Porting models over might be a thing I'd do, but I really hate the eyes SFM uses.
I'm still keeping SFM on my PC, but I'm going to do a big clean up to save some space. This shouldn't affect anything, but you never know if I would miss something because of this.

Personal stuff
I'm planning on doing a clean up on my PC. Deleting some of the older submissions PSD files and finished images because they are eating up space on my hard drive.
Also I'm hoping to get out of this stupid winter depression soon. I really hate this feeling, not being interested in things and being bored.

That's everything for now. Have a good day and hug a short person.

Blender is the best anyway. It's actually better than Maya now, though this is partially due to Maya's current owners ruining the program.

Blender is free too. Doesn't Maya require some kind of subscription? I know a buddy of mine used 3ds max for a while by using the student option, but they recently stopped this.

Sounds good. I can't make heads or tails of Blender, so I'm sticking to SFM, for now, but it's good that you're not abandoning it entirely.

It seems unfair to drop it like some "AAA gaming company" is dropping it's current player base and game legacy. I got good memories of SFM + it a thing people will still expect from me anyway.

I'm going to have to make the move to Blender too, but even then I'm sure that'll get a similar bad rap.

Well I think we can agree that we miss sfm because we are familiar with the interface and tools.
The rule on ng exists because sfm allows people to make low effort renders on it, although the rule is generalized and im under the impression that despite what is actually written in the rules, as long as it is 3d they couldnt care less if you are rendering with sfm, blender, whatever.

It seems like Newgrounds is having some trouble with it.

"If you are creating your own models and your work is removed, PM Tom. Also be careful not to produce the art equivalent of shovelware, by uploading large numbers of similar entries to the Art Portal. Activity such as this lead to a growing community backlash against SFM. We are looking at ways to address this long-term but for now it is a touchy category."

Still, I took it as a moment to step up from SFM. Not looking back.
