I wish you guys would be more criticizing

With my art that is, I really want to get better but it's hard to find what I can improve on alone :p

Tough to be... from us slacker-users who have no art skills, it feels super dumb to be critical since my stick figures only have accidental dicks because I can't even draw a straight line.

Maybe one area to improve on is depth? The anatomy of limbs heading towards the viewer can be a bit funky, making the art less dynamic generally.

I really hate that you haven't drawn Mrs. Otterton getting violently bred, but I'm biased, so just take my opinion and leave ;)

Humm I see what you are saying, and your right my foreshortening is horrid and I really should try to use refs when doin it. Also I'm on a non zootopia diet xD

Lol only sometimes , and if you are referring to lylla from marvel I've wanted to draw her many times but it's just never good enough, also you must know this love is forbidden.

Anatomy, being on model, perspective in general, I don't think you need to worry there. I can see what Marrla means about foreshortening, it's not bad but not always totally convincing.

I would suggest you try a softer shading style, though of course a cell shaded look is 'correct' for some of the characters, and some 'visual depth of field' and indication of light sources -- when the farthest corner of a room uses exactly the same brightness and saturation as the foreground, it flattens the picture.

Some of your detailing looks exaggerated to my eye, like the folds in the sheets here:
that look more like molded plastic; on the other hand, in something like
the tree looks more like stretched taffy, just a bit more attention to how trunk and roots articulate and how bark actually looks would improve it a lot (hopefully for little effort).

But that's all nits, your art is some of the best on this site!

Soft shading has always been a weakness of mine, I really need to get some professional instruction on how to do it. You are 100% correct I sometimes go to far with fabric and other times imma lazy bish and I just skip the details entirely,  I gotta find that medium. Great feedback but I dont think it's some of the best in the site friendo

Whoops, not sure I can fix that tho

To what I see you need to clean up your line work like I need to do your lines are drawn past where they connect or are incomplete. You also need to check coloring cause you miss a few spots or the shading is over lines as well which i do too as a short cut. they're bad habits we both should work on as artist.

I can say I don't really know how to draw but all your stuff is way of a heck better than my two latest attempts after not drawing anything since 2002 I'm trying to get back to it.

Getting critic is hard. Getting useful critic even harder. But tbh, I couldn't think about any critic. Nothing I dislike on your art. No errors I see in your drawings. I remember something about your characters looking a little boney, but looking at your more recent couple of drawings I really can't  agree on that memory.
All I could advice is trying new stuff, new styles, topics or elements you haven't tried yourself on yet.

You could improve on separating your subjects from the background in your colored art.
https://inkbunny.net/s/1788436 - while the color of the background is different from the subjects', their values and hues are similar making it more difficult to distinguish the subjects' forms.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dt6H4oEXQAIDGiQ.jpg:large - apply points 5 & 6.

I can try, but I think my art skill isn't high enough to see the mistakes inside the stuff that's impressive to me

I will keep this in mind when I see your pics in the future! You have to realize you're good, which limits the amount of help even another artist is going to be able to give you.

It would be great if you could define "better". Looking over your last few submissions I see a few things *I* might change, given the chance, but it's subjective. What's better to you? More on-model? Better composition? More emotion? More sexuality?

I'm happy to contribute, but a lot of what I see from where I'm at doesn't look like mistakes. It looks like style.

Ok, so I've been working with artists of all skill types for over 20 years. I started Jabarchives.com with an Ex-Disney Artist at the helm. I've hosted , published, and worked with 100's of artists at this point. I had close personal Ties to James Hardiman, I've had a long time acquaintance with Eric Scwartz, gNAW, Max Black rabbit, and so many many other artist... Here's my issue with me or any one else being "harsher to you"   . You're extremely tallented, you have very clean lines, you have a good view for proportions and angles, You understand physics, and body structure. Yes, you do implant your style over some canon, but ffs that's what art is about.  Hardiman would always tell me "When you're at the top it's so much harder , since everyone is gunning for you, you always have to stay one step ahead"   I tend to disagree with this.. Yes everyone is gunning for you... But so fucking what? It's not a race, there is no finish , there is no "competition" If you love what you draw, and you enjoy what you do, by all means DO IT!  Yes, we should ALWAYS strive to improve ourselves, but I've seem some artists take that WAAAY to far... and concentrate SO MUCH on one thing like "BIG MUSCULAR CHARACTERS" that... well that's all they can do now... They can barely draw some of their own OC's because of how hard they pushed themselves to be the top of one genre... I can't really tell you where to improve. I think you do a fine job at all that you do.  You want me to be fickle.. Fine LOL  One some of the fan art , push harder to get close to canon.. this way it's easier for pervs like me to fantasize about being the male or female in the picture LOL LOL... Otherwise, seriously.. Just keep doing what you're doing... Would love to work with you one day... And you're always welcome at TJA .

I really struggle sometimes with making the characters look like the original source sometimes, I'm not sure why some of them are soooo simple. Thing is tho I dont wanna be a master at 1 specific thing, I wanna be a master at many xD. What's TJA btw?

www.jabarchives.com  One of the first rule 34 sites on the internet long before Rule 34 was even a thing.. Started it way back in 1995, I've never censored an artist on it once. And we've been up 23+ years now :)   And being a master of many is a great way to be :)
