Winter takes the moisture out of the air and then out of your lips. Without chapstick during the winter you could think and your lips can be ripped open due to lack of moisture. I hate it! Saliva is not your friend during winter. Normally it can lubricate your lips but during winter it can freeze on your lips and somehow actually become an irritant instead.
