With Smash Ultimate coming this Friday, I decided to make another list journal asking which characters you guys want as the DLC, as well as posting the ones I'm hoping for.
With the exception of Piranha Plant, we have no idea who the DLC characters will be, as all the ones in that Fighter Pass were never revealed, speculation is running rampant, and I'm jumping on that bandwagon.
Here's who I want for the DLC:
Pretty much everyone from my previous lists that haven't already been de-confirmed. So, the usual Geno, Banjo, Bandana Dee, etc. Big surprise, huh?
But in all seriousness, if there's any characters I wanted/expected that I haven't already mentioned, it'd be these ones:
1) Captain Syrup
The WarioWare series at this point has a handful of representatives, but none from the Wario LAND series, and I feel Captain Syrup would make a nice addition to represent the more traditional gameplay focused Wario series. Being a pirate, she could have access to such weapons as swords, guns, maybe even utilizing the Genie from Wario Land 1 in her Final Smash.
2) As much as it pains me to say it... a Fortnite representative
Let's face it, Fortnite is pretty much at the height of its popularity and it looks like there's no sign of it dying down anytime soon. I have a strong feeling Nintendo might strike while this iron is hot.
3) A new F-Zero representative
Likelyhood? Extremely low, but so has the idea of a new F-Zero game in general ever since the WII. Smash is pretty much one of the only series keeping F-Zero relevant, so if anything new's going to happen with the series outside of Mario Kart, it's likely going to be in Smash.
4) Mach Rider
While it's true that I'm only adding Mach Rider because of the fake Grinch Leak, I now say "Why not?" Other obscure franchises HAVE been added to Smash over the years (Ice Climbers and Kid Icarus), and they've become some of the most beloved characters by a lot of people I know, why not give MR the same treatment? Maybe he'd even get the same luck Pit's gotten and even get a new game! Or at least be added to MK9 or something.
So at this time these are all the ones I can think of without repeating my old lists. How about you guys?
