Richard the scorpion passed away last night. He was active earlier yesterday, enough that I filmed him crawling around his tank, but towards the evening he started becoming sluggish, and rather than retreating into either his T-rex skull or his hidey log, he seemed to prefer this one corner of the tank, where he curled up, and later this morning I found him with his tail uncurled which is a bad sign. Using tweezers, I gently prodded him and he didn't react. I confirmed he was dead when I was able to pick him by the tail without any movement. I'm pretty upset. I did my best to take care of him. It's like Scooter the rabbit all over again. Ugh. Fuck 2018. Fuck it soooo hard.
