OwO what's this?! Yep, another update for this month. For all 3 people who are wondering, my Thanksgiving wasn't too bad. It was convoluted for sure but not the worst. We had a "Thanksgiving Eve" meal with some of my father's extended family. On the day of, we visited one of my dad's friend for a meal and had more extended family visiting as well.
As for Black Friday, we visited a shopping center. Fortunately we made it relatively unscathed. Even my wallet got out mostly alive(the stores didn't have anything I was particularly interested in buying).
The return trip though(as they are wont to do) was an absolute nightmare. As insult to injury, our home was without power when we returned home. That bit was resolved fast enough but it really sucked having to toss out a vast quantity of our food away.
Fun Stuff So a sort of hilarious thing that happened this month. Apparently someone tried to convert an isolated tribe and ended up getting killed. Another hilarious thing to happen is the romaine lettuce recall. Seriously, our own government can regulate our food better than firearms. Another hilarious bit of irony is that the people take what the FDA(or is it the CDC?) say about the lettuce as gospel while ignoring what they say about vaccines or GMOs.
The depressing thing this month was the ongoing fiasco regarding the border. When a side has people justifying the tear gassing of children, pro life is the last thing I'd use to describe them. Also, for the dumbass who thinks pepper spray is fine to use on nachos,I fucking dare you.
This week in South Park So this week's episode of south park starts with a recap of the previous episodes this season. Of course this episode had to bring up black panther once more. And it seems like Eric's cool thing to fake now is anxiety. As offensive as this may be, this is the same character who faked tourettes, aspergers, and gender dysphoria to name a few. Also, it's nice to see the PC babies make a return in this episode.
Other than the anxiety thing, they have an anvillicious metaphor for shutting yourself away from the world with technology. The metaphor in question is this thing called a "buddha box". I guess headphones wouldn't have worked for their intended metaphor? Of course once this new south park trend picked up, it led to the Principal and Vice Principal to look away from their own children.
Holy shit, that PC baby intro was hilarious. And it looks like the 1st thing they did when let loose was get drinks with "problematic" names taken off the menu. After the wine bar incident, their next protest was to stop a construction project for.. I'm not sure why.
So Kyle apparently didn't learn his lesson about giving speeches and Eric took advantage of the situation. As for the babies, they apparently got a musical career now. I'm not entirely sure what exactly they are parodying here with this.
So the way they decide to conclude this episode was a message about our tech being a source of stress rather than a reliever of it with no one listening. Make of that what you will. And with no one paying attention to them, the episode ends with PC Principal & Strong woman able to actually spend time with their children. I guess no one in South Park learned their lesson from "Put It Down".
If last week wasn't a dark week, I would be slightly disappointed. There wasn't anything too exciting to see this time around. Hopefully the penultimate and final episode will close the season off with a bang. There is still time to see if South Park decides to make Saddam Hussein reappear.
Conclusion It's not too often I make more than 1 post a month. For all 3 people who give a shit, have any fun horror stories about thansgiving or black friday?
