The three-can beanie weenie law?

Is there some law against shipping more than three cans of beanie weenies in a single box?

I ordered a bunch of food from Prime Pantry (yeah I know, not an efficient use of my money, but I don't have a vehicle, and it was going to be another week before I could get a ride into town) The majority of my food came in two large boxes, one of which contained 1 of 10 cans of beanie weenies. I also received two more boxes of the same size as the ones packed full of everything else, only they each contained exactly three cans of beanie weenies and absolutely nothing else, along with a much smaller box, which also contained three cans of beanie weenies.

So.. got a shit-ton of large boxes. Kinda wondering how awesome it would be if I were a cat right about now.

I've pretty much determined that if it's Amazon, it's going to be be stupid, pointless, and more than a little confusing

maybe padding the handling costs..  not the most efficient but the same issue as people in inner cities have with smaller grocers closing and anything beyond convenience stores miles away

Padding the handling costs? If you mean for me, I got free shipping.

You weren't paying for shipping and handling that works.  I've gotten silly boxes before ordered some SD cards and the box they came in could've held well over 200

There's a few different reasons why this can happen.

Mostly for efficiency reasons, as dumb as that sounds.
I must admit, this is quite an absurd example of this phenomenon.

Don't limit yourself to Prime Pantry, I've found the selection is sometimes better over in the regular Amazon (try coffee for example), and Prime shipping is of course available there. Also for groceries, have you looked into alternatives in your area? Shipt, InstaCart and DoorDash (they do WalMart runs) come to mind.

Sometimes there is good stuff, but sometimes it's overpriced, too. As for the rest, I doubt there are very many alternative services for my area, but I'll give them a look at some point.

I've had this happen before. It's been shown on the internet probably a dozen times if not hundreds.

I ordered an micro SD card, and the box it shipped in was huge. It was like 20 inches deep, 20 long and like 20 wide. I chuckled and pulled out my item. That box ended up being used that Christmas for a gift for my mom.

I have a room full of boxes. If I had a cat, I'd never see it out of that room LOL

I've had plenty of instances of oversized boxes before, but nothing this bonkers.

Weird waste of cardboard and space that would bug me, however you now have many boxes for your kitty to play in?Take a video of her enjoying them. Been a while since we have seen videos from you.

heh yeah, I've been meaning to record every night now for the past couple of weeks, but every time something comes up, or my mental energy is depleted by then. Maybe I should go back to occasionally waking up super early to record.
