So, I've started drawing again. And I've gone against a long standing rule of mine, and I'm doing things IN COLOR.
Why is there a 'no color' rule? Well, I'm basically bichromatic. This means that I have very, very few red color sensitive cones, and effectively can't see red, or any other color with red in it.
This kind of makes things, awkward, when I have to say, color something purple and all I see is a washed out grayish blue. Or, well any other color that has red as a component and all I see is a grayish something else. And it gets even more confusing when I tell people I can see red, but I can't see red. This is mostly because true, absolute reds, I can see. There's enough red in there that what little red vision I have can pick it up. But then you get to a somewhat less red color, and suddenly I'm totally confused.
So, if you're looking at my artwork, and the colors are a bit off, that would probably be why. Just consider it a glimpse into the world of a person who may not see things the same way you do! It's educational! And also kinda trippy if I'm trying to work with the right color combos and getting everything wrong.
