They found her in front of the door when they came home. She must have known it was coming and tried to leave. She spent her final moments alone.
I had been dreading this day ever since I left home. How I felt like shit for abandoning my cat. How lonely it was. I wasn't sure how long it would take before I found a living situation that would allow me to take care of her.
I stay home all the time, I dont know if it would have been easier for me to handle, had I been there, stroking her fur as she drifted off. Or if I would not have noticed and come downstairs to the same result regardless. Would she have come to me if I had been there?
In any case, just when I thought I was in a better place mentally after my boyfriend broke up with me, this happens and I don't know whats in store for the future.

That's really sad... I've been through a similar thing, it's like losing a brother or sister or child. It's never an easy thing but at least their memory can live on within you.
