Doesn't change the fact you made a funny misspelling there :3. I don't even know how you'd get Secret of Mana out of Earthbound.

(it is a joke)

hard choice... my favorites were Super mario world, Super Metroid, Legend of Zelda Link to the past. Chrono Trigger, Megaman X.

but I'd say the one that is more important to me is Super metroid... got it just before Christmas so anytime our livingroom was filled with boxes of decorations, or boxes of any kind really there is a really strong urge to play it again.

Breath of Fire-- similar to final fantasy (get to turn in to dragons to do battle).
Secret of evermore-- similar to secret of mana and illusion of gaia.
Mechwarrior-- Think gundam pilot.
Taz-Mania--   Take taz and chew your way through all the levels.
Young Merlin-- Slow map based puzzle solver.
And if you got time here is a list of almost all the games  http://romhustler.net/roms/snes/all.

One of, if not my favorite console of all time.  I actually would like to try to collect a lot more games for it, but alas I do not have that sort of spare cash.  But the games I do have are all greats from the systems life.  It's hard for me to pick a non Zelda favorite, since that is my obvious go to SNES game and I have so many other favorites from the system.  Skipping Zelda and Mario games:  Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Megaman 7,  X, X2, X3, Super Castlevania IV, Contra 3: The Alien Wars, Illusion of Gaia, Starfox, Super Metroid, F-Zero, Top Gear, UN Squadron, Super Street Fighter 2 (et all :V), Donkey Kong Country, Earthworm Jim, and Earthbound all rank pretty highly on my lists.  I've played through and beaten a number of those games all on their original cartridge.  The only one I listed that I don't actually own is Earthbound, but some day I'll find it.  ^^

Out of those I'd probably have to say it's a tie between Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger.  Secret of Mana exemplifies a live action RPG to me, with only a few minor flaws in combat that were remedied in its sequels, but each of those sequels lost the charm that made the original so great.  Really do need to sit down and play Seiken Densetsu 3 properly one of these days.  Chrono Trigger on the other hand, is what I'd call the perfect turn based RPG.  Dropping the back-forth mechanic of other traditional RPG's for a turn based system that focused on timing, flow, and quick decision making really makes the game a lot more fun than any other turn based RPG I've ever tried to play.  Of course, a well written and intricate story is what truly makes that game unforgettable.

But I still have to come back to Zelda.  Perhaps not 'technically' better than either of those games, it just holds too dear a place in my heart.  A Link to the Past was the first video game I beat on my own, with my own skill.  The first game I didn't need help or a Game Genie to beat.  I've played the game so far into the ground that on a casual playthrough I almost look like a speedrunner.  So I still hold that game too dear, and even if I had to sell my entire SNES collection and consoles I would still hold onto that one particular cartridge.  ^^

Hard to say, but one of my favorites is Super Ninja Boy. It's a unique beat-'em-up/RPG that's twice as fun playing two-player coop.

I still got my SNES hooked up at my shelf next to my NES, N64 and all the other Nintendos, but as for a favorite game... hmm, well naturally Link to the Past is a big one, but since we're not discussing Zelda, I'd say, err... too hard to pick one really :x Think my favorites would be Chrono Trigger, Super Castlevania IV,  and... hmm... oh and U.N. Squadron. Those are the games I play the most. :>

Not Zelda or a Mario platformer? Well, there's Super Mario RPG, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy 4 & 6 (2 & 3 on the SNES), Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Mega Man X 1-3, Star Fox, Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse, and TMNT 4: Turtles in Time, just to name a few.

I get the metaphysical references but it's the fact it changes to and back so quickly, catching it in the corner of your eye makes one wonder if it changed at all.

IF I had to pick one of mine to keep, I'd have to be Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
But there are just so many I like, F-Zero : for being a new play on racing, basewars; a new play on baseball; the Final Fantasy series (I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy even though XIII was a little disappointing), Chrono Trigger, Earthbound; my first RPG; Donkey Kong Country, Street Fighter 2; my first Fighting game, Mortal Kombat; my first taste of blood in a game.

I could go on infinitely.

My favorites are myriad and very difficult to choose a top between. Final Fantasy 6/3, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Super Metroid, Illusion of Gaia, Lufia & Lufia 2, Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana, and Paladin's Quest (Which is terrible and super bizarre, but I love it) make up my top 10 in no particular order.

Well my favorite game was on the original Nintendo. Mega Man. So I'd say my fav on the super nes was Megaman X. I played through it so much only the bosses ever got a hit in. Hehe I found the pattern to the little minions.

I still have NES (clone/Dendy), have Mario, Street Fighter, Duck hunt with that "Lazer Gun" Top Gun (Damn you Carrier!) plus more, it just sits there gathering dust, since it has an ancient video output plug.

I loved Secret of Evermore...rented it and never got close to beating it when I had to return it, I think I was 13 or so, and could not find it till I went to a Gamestop in Vegas when I was 18.  Only copy they had and I bought it in a heartbeat, went back home from vacation, played it, beat it, and kept it...still got it too, somewhere around here, thought I don't have the system anymore...waiting for them to put it up on the Wii's store so I can download it and play it on there.
