It's long past time I start putting some serious effort into getting things on track. Come December I'm going to lighten my commission load a bit and focus my efforts into getting a strong start for next year. I have a few ideas on some changes I need to make, but as always input is invaluable.
The biggest change I plan to make is to restructure how I handle Patreon. Currently, it functions more or less like a tip jar, which is fine, but I feel like its a missed opportunity. In addition to adjusting the current tiers, I plan to add premium content on a more regular basis (which will also be made available elsewhere). I've also considered having the normal content available on Patreon earlier than other sites; nothing super long, just like a week or so between Patreon and free releases.
Unfortunately, funds are becoming more and more of an issue for me lately and sooner or later it's going to catch up to me. I'm not in any immediate need of cash, but I'd like to be prepaired for when that becomes the case. I hate the idea of paywalling everything, but at the same time I need to find a way to make a steady income.
Other changes will be less drastic. Updated avatars, stream announcements, that sort of thing. Just some basic updated branding stuff. I also plan on putting more effort into marketting as a whole and maybe doing a little more SFW content so sites like deviantArt aren't just completely barren.
TL;DR I need to find a way to monetize my content in the near future if I'm gonna keep the art coming.
Suggestions, questions, and any other input is greatly appreciated. Pointing out any alternatives for Patreon funding is also welcome. Outside feedback is important and I don't want to ruffle any feathers if I can help it!
