Wow update : cataclysm

Puppy has finally found the exit from under the rocks of Cataclysm and is now sailing to level 85 !

I have been offered Cataclysm by my daddy Wolfwere, but he didn't know that an US version of the game couldn't work with the european version. Since wenesday, I have been calling and emailing the customer service, and they finally solved the problem. I'm now heading out for new adventures (that will be shortlived since I don't have much time to play with school, but later, later, later...).

I blame a friend of mine, but I ended up buying the xpac after a good long WoW hiatus. After starting a goblin warlock, I'm surprised how much the game has changed.. from old WoW. And I haven't even seen the busted up Azeroth yet (still in the goblin starting area).

I'm disappointed gearscore is still around however.. so we'll see what happens once I hit 85 if I'll still keep playing or not. Hopefully by then Dungeon Siege III or Elder Scrolls V is out by then.

I don't really how you can play without a gear score, I mean you can't have the best loot dropping from level 1 mobs...

I understand why Blizzard uses it for controlling access to instances.. that I don't have a problem with. It's the players using as an e-peen tool to inflate their egos.. and to deny skilled people into groups. Gearscore doesn't always equal skill, but unless you have a high GS, people laugh and berate those with lower gearscores.

I planned the worgen stupid names. Otherwise, I thought you were talking about the level of items, determined by Blizzard. Gearscore as you describe it doesn't exist in my guild. We consider players who apply and show their GS to be not good. We ask them to demonstrate in dungeons what they are worth.

As a sidenote, I've created two goblins (warlock and rogue) and two worgens (druid and mage) getting both out of the starting zone. I have to say, the goblin starting zone is fun the first time and dreadfully annoying the second time. I decided to stick with the worgen druid.

I can't believe how many ways people have figured out how to spell werewolf (werewulf, warewoof, etc.) and worgen for character names.. it makes me want to facepalm whenever I see another one.

eh, my mate and i have taken a break from wow for awile, not cause we don't like it, but cause his lappy isnt able to handle anything more than looking sexy idling x3 worked fine all the way thru lvl 1-55, then burning crusade stuff made his lappy nearly fry...so it was a struggle....but we couldnt get but a few dungons into wotlk before his lappy keeled over and beged for the pain to stop x3 gotta get some cash togetehr to buy a new pc so we can romp hardcore as twin droodbois again :P

I am getting Cataclysm this tuesday. This pup's Master bought it for him. As soon as i get it i am making a Worgen toon. not sure what class yet but soon it will be on par with my Paladin or better!
