okay so ive been thinkin, maybe once ive cleaned my home enough or so, i can open up some small commissions in exchange for Kofis
so like the lowest rate, for maybe a sketch or something small like a badge design, would be worth 1 KoFi which equals to $3; and then for extra things, you just add an extra Kofi which is just adding 3 more dollars
so how does this sound:
Semi Messy Sketch / Badge Design = 1 Kofi ($3)
Lineart / Patch of Color = 2 Kofis ($6)
Flat Colors = 3 Kofis ($9)
Full Art (cleaned, lined, colored and shaded) = 4 Kofis ($12)
extra characters and possible backgrounds are an added Kofi on top of the base price
does these prices sound okay to you guys?
ive always been the type of artist that gives you decently good quality art at a cheap but fair price since i know not everyone can afford some outrageous price on a small piece of art so i think this kofi system could work. let me know what you think.
one last thing, i know that im pretty inconsistent and am not always active but i really do wanna try my best this time. especially now that i still havent had any luck finding a new job. so the only thing that would get in my way of not completing something right away would just be either laziness or disinterest.
regardless, i would never take anybodies money before starting a commission. i cant afford to take responsibility especially in the event that i feel disinterested in a commission. thats the big factor of my creative process. which is why my policy of "art first, money after" wont really ever change since its made to work with my issues (and if a customer punks out on me, its their loss cos if i finish a commission but you choose not to pay/trick me into giving it to you for free or for cheaper then what i listed then i will delete/possibly rip the art depending on medium and might even throw it away. ive been tricked plenty of times before. i dont need trickery.)
anyways, rant aside, let me know what you guys think of the prices. do u think theyre reasonable? is the KoFi System a good system?? any suggestions??? leave a comment with your thoughts.
NOTE: Im NOT opening commissions right now. im just trying to set up a decent price list before i consider opening a LIMITED amount of SLOTS
