beware ice

well... I did it again.

Slipped on some ice and fully broke my right forearm, fractured my tailbone, severely bruised me butt and hip...

I am waiting in emergency as I write this, one handed.

with my right arm broken, I won't be drawing at all till the cast comes off.  I can still type and mess around with poser though, so I can still keep busy that way.

Remember, watch out for ice.

Yours truly, Annastasia.

ArcCahlon

oh but we have medical here too. $20 aspirins, $793 a night beds. we even have a program to pay for it all as long as you got the right one. we have part A and B also D but only if you fill out all forms in triplicates minus the main copy which is double unless its the 380 then its a single triplicate doubled twice. @.@

yeah I'd stick with Canada myself if I wasn't too lazy to move. but I live in washington so canadas pretty close by

Umm..  Wow.  Ouch.  Last bit of ice I hit dropped me down down a flight of stairs, but I came out more or less intact, with nothing more than a bruised backside and an injured pride.
annonymouse
6 years, 7 months ago
I'm only 4' 6" tall and pretty slim
sadly I've broken more bones in my life than most
my light build makes me quite fragile
Saglinger
6 years, 7 months ago
Ah.  I'm the opposite.  I'm 5'9" and fairly sturdy.  I've walked away from accidents involving me on my bicycle and others in cars, I've fallen down several stairs as well a few ladders.  Training on how to land properly helps prevent serious injury, or I'm just plain lucky, as I've never broken any bones.  Any severe pain I've suffered was due to either surgery or infection, not injury.

lucky you

Damn!  If you broke anymore bones, you'd be wearing a body cast like in some cartoon!
annonymouse
6 years, 7 months ago
god I hope not
the worst part of casts is not the pain or discmfort
its the itching
Saglinger
6 years, 7 months ago
Which, by all accounts, is an indicator that you're healing.

healing = torture
Saglinger

I've never had to wear a cast, but I do recall spending weeks with the slightest movement causing pain, even with painkillers, recovering from surgery.

a nice little home in Summerland too bad B.C. has that nasty little HST thing after the Olympics went a tiny bit over budget.  Alberta may have ice but at least I'm not getting the s*** taxed out of me.  as for the malachite, malachite has a high concentration of copper which aids aching joints and muscles.  Malachite is believed to be a strong protector of children. It is said to protect the wearer from accidents and protects travelers. Malachite has been used to aid success in business and protect against undesirable business associations. It is a stone of balance in relationships.

well there are 2 things you can do
Nanobots the side effect is "gray goo" and death or
time travel in negative velocities but that always results in a multidimensional temporal paradox.
