I swear, Smash Ultimate's gotten me the most hyped I've ever been for a game since 2009.
I'm going to list who I'm hoping will be revealed in the next direct (or at least at some point before the game's release)
Here are my top 10 most wanted/expected Smash Ultimate characters
1) Geno - Because if there was any time for him to join Smash, it's now.
2) Skull Kid - All time favorite LoZ character, and if the rumors are true, his addition just might be a reality
3) Springman/Ribbon Girl - ARMS needs a representative
4) Isaac (Golden Sun) - Hasn't been shown in any capacity yet, so we just might be seeing him, who knows
5) Isabelle (Villager Echo Fighter) - Same reason as Isaac
6) Dixie Kong (Diddy Echo Fighter) - They put in K. Rool, why not another DK rep?
7) Shadow the Hedgehog (Sonic Echo Fighter) - Same reason as Isaac and Isabelle
8) A new Pokemon representative, not sure which one, but I'm expecting a new playable Pokemon in Ultimate
9) Professor Layton - His inclusion would be unexpected, and I have some funny ideas on what his Final Smash could be
10) Bandana Waddle Dee - Low on the list because he's one of the characters that everyone wants, but is also a character I won't lose sleep over if he's not put in
Honorable Mentions) Banjo-Kazooie, Rayman - as amazing as it would be for them to get in, I'm not holding my breath
Now as a bonus, here's characters I DON'T want in Smash Ultimate
1) Waluigi - Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Waluigi, I just don't want him PLAYABLE. He was already de-confirmed at E3, and people still haven't accepted it and moved on, and it drives me crazy. Even when they write it as a joke, it's not even funny anymore.
2) Any non video game character, like Goku, Shrek, etc. - Because they're not video game characters, meaning they don't qualify, so STOP ASKING. And just so you know, simply being in a video game does NOT make you a video game character. You have to ORIGINATE from a game to qualify.
3) Sans - Even though I'm an Undertale fan (even if just a casual one) I don't want any Undertale reps in Smash, because until the port was announced this year, they've had no connection with Nintendo, which is the other qualification to be in Smash, be a video game character and be on a Nintendo console at least once (and before you try and say a certain Final Fantasy character was never on Nintendo, he HAS been in a Nintendo game before. FIVE as a matter of fact).
4) Any character who's never been on Nintendo - Because if they're not on and never GOING to be on Nintendo, why should they be in Smash? So sorry anyone who wants Kratos, Master Chief or anyone who's exclusive to Sony/Microsoft
