Well, as I said in my last upload, nothing too interesting, but here's a summary anyway.
For those who didn't see my previous journal, I went on a holiday to Japan for 2 weeks at the start of April. Not going to go into it too much, but it was an amazing trip which I will hold many fond memories of. Anyways, I was in a pretty good position in terms of my art drive when I left for the trip, but of course then I wasn't able to do anything with it for 2 weeks while I was away. So when I came back home the drive was just sorta gone, or at least 'going'. But here's the stupidest part. I got back into Destiny 2 with the release of it's Warmind DLC, and I basically developed an unhealthy addiction to it. And that's... basically the main reason for the art hiatus. I hate to be so boring as to blame a video game for art laziness but as someone who's terrible at self-discipline, that's all I got lol. I'm kinda winding down on the game now though. The massive 'Forsaken' DLC is coming out in september and the idea is that I don't buy it (at least for a while) so that I have basically no reason to play the game. On top of art, it's been preventing me from playing other stuff I wanna play as well haha... so it should be nice to get away from it for a substantial period of time.
On a final, much more relevant note, I'm gonna try and push commissions a little more than usual as I attempt to get my art productivity back up. I'm just doing voluntary work on thrusdays and fridays at the moment, so it would be beneficial to earn something on the side...
