My birthday is in 9 days. I'll be 61.
This last year has been, well, interesting, much like the Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times." Getting used to the idea of retiring so early that I can't yet draw on Social Security. Anxiety over US political issues. Coming out to family members, with mixed results. And... coming to grips with my own gender identity issues. I am afraid all of it has really screwed up my creativity, and for that, I apologize to the few of you who still care enough about my past efforts to keep following my rather inactive gallery here.
I'm kind of appalled that in the last year, I have only posted one story, two journals, two pieces of fan art, and a few images of me in my fursuit. For what it is worth, I am still trying to finish the few items in my commission queue. I am about half done with Alpha Rivals, and it will end up being much longer than the originally planned 10K words of so. I feel I owe that to dilbertdog and to CobaltTheUnicorn, for their patience. And I honestly felt that as originally planned, I was just skipping over way too much important development stuff for what happened in the last day of the 'Pet show' from chapter 1 of that story series. After that, I'll probably tackle the next Master Jak story, (if the commissioner still wants me to), or some more Swiss Mix and The Secret.
I have one more year before I can draw Social Security, and have a reliable income again. Until then, I am living off of savings, plus a meager income from renting one room in my home out to someone else. I am just trying to live my life one day at a time right now. And my life is going through a lot of changes. More on that later, I think, when I am just a bit more certain that the path I think I am on leads down the correct rabbit hole for me. My self image has been changing a lot lately. All that has adversely affected they way I write porn. But if things go as planned, I hope things will get a little more normal in another few months.
