Well I've been out for some time and at the moment, I cannot draw anything because I no longer have a laptop to use. Commissions were my only source of income and now I have nothing. So in short, I must internet hobo and ask for donations for a new Laptop! The goal is $500 and any one who helps gets free arts.
UPDATE I was recently speaking to an individual IRL that refurbishes laptops and had agreed to give me one that had once belonged to his daughter; but of course after finalizing a deal where I would get the base machine for free and need only pay for upgrades, the daughter wanted it back. So square one... But now I'm seeking to buy the same model (then its upgrades), and this shall only be $500 in total instead of the original $1000. Sweet!
UPDATE #2 (Aug 16th) Laptop is purchased! Now the upgrades are left ...close to $400 worth (stupid harddrives and RAM n' CPU stuff)
UPDATE #3 (Sep 8th) OS SSD drive and caddy purchased! Only the data SATA, RAM and OS are left (...close to $250ish)

Well, I don't want to be rude but I've seen on craigslist and ebay some used Thinkpad workstations, few year old gaming laptops like Alienware etc... And they're all was under $1k. I understand that buying used stuff is such a lottery but that's might be a great way to get a powerful machine if you havr tight budget and need it as sooon as possible
