Now we shouldn't have any doubts that guy who was figthing with Dewey in DuckTales' trailer from April is actually Air Pirates captain, our beloved Don Karnage. Just yesterday the proof has been appeared, a screenshot with him and his crew with article about DuckTales episode in which he's gonna finally back. Now some news...
First the bad one. Don Karnage will have a new voice, Jaime Camil's exactly. Maybe I wouldn't care about it so much if not the fact Jim Cummings (original Karny's voice) recently voiced Darkwing Duck, another Disney Afternoon's character he originally voiced, in the same DuckTales reboot so why won't he be Karny again? I completely dunno! Seems like Disney has its own logic we just can't understand...
Another news is one of the most important elements of episode if not the most important element, will be... singing. Karnage and he's crew will sing again since TaleSpin's pilot episode "Plunder and Lighting". Honestly I doubt it'll be a cover of "Sky Pirates" from that episode but for now we can't completely ruled it out. As I know Disney, I would expect a song in this episode. Also the article clearly suggests the main protagonist of this episode is Dewey and that explains why had exactly this Donald's nephew a battle with Karnage in DuckTales' trailer.
The episode should be aired on July 28. I hope this episode will be a success even if Karny doesn't have his original voice. If will, then Disney has a pressure to finally make a TaleSpin reboot. Otherwise it'll lose the rest of motivation for this project so cross your thingers, guys.
Now I know a logic reason for the new voice of Don Karnage, Jaime Camil. He's a Mexican and that means he has Spanish accent, the same which Karny should have. Also that guy voiced Panchito from The Three Caballeros who's Mexican too and supposedly Camil was awesome as him. I feel relief and I hope he'll be great as Karny too.
