MG2410! RANT!

IT SUCKS!!! fuck you canon!! and other printer companies with your printing counters!!!!!
I knew taht having a printer a copier and a scanner on the same machine was a BAAAD!
idea from the very start! but I can't seem to find a scanner with out a fucking printer attached to it!
now i can't scan even tho I am not using the printer!! just want to use the scanner but now
I have to buy a new printer and scanner! cause it is just showing error 5B00! it is the fucking
print counter, seems like the only way to fix it is to change the chip with a not so used one
or buy a new printer this is stupid!!, since they force us to use their stupid cartridges that are
FUCKING way over priced! they been always trying ways to fuck and suck our money out with
what ever fucking trick they can think of! ones the Chinese created the continues ink fillers
they started to put the counters so the printer simply stops working after a count of prints
or pretty much each time you turn on the printer, even if you don't use it!! i hate this and for
all my commissioners i am sorry this will take us a step back since i can't really go outside and
scan cubs on a public Internet coffee, cause people are retards!, so i will try to fix it or get a new one
and while that happens your commissions are all on hold, if you know a way to fix this pls
let me know I don't want to pay almost the printer value to get the chip changed.

I have an older HP printer/scanner (HP Deskjet 3054).  I've been out of ink for ages.  In fact I run to the library or Office Max to print rather than buying ink. The good part is the scanner doesn't care and I can scan all the time.  I use linux and that too may make a difference because it doesn't use bundled software that came with the printer.  I might suggest if you have a 64 bit computer is to download PCLinuxOS.  Running it without install you may find you can use your scanner.  Not sure if it will work.  But it could save you some cash.

They only have 64 bit, if your machine is 32, I might try Mint Linux.  Our scanning program is called xsane on PCLinuxOS.

Forgot to mention but you can burn a DVD or USB and run from that, so you don't touch your Window OS.

Well for apple products it’s called Tiny Scanner. You take a pic and it adjust it to fit (but can be fixed manually if preferred) to you device in color/black and white. It claims it’s free but that only allows you to scan one pic ever, take another scan and previous one gets deleted so the real price (Tiny scanner Plus) it is about 5-6$. Not to bad of scanner in my opinion. I don’t know of the android companion though. It could be the same app but I truly don’t know. Hope this helps.
