Won't you be my Neighbor?

"Won't you be my Neighbor" is a documentary about Mr. (Fred) Rogers in his beginnings in the Childrens Corner up to his most iconic show Mr. Rogers Neighborhood and even some other things like Old Friends...New Friends. This Documentary directed by Academy Award winner Morgan Neville (20 Feet to Stardom) is an insightful look into Fred and his personality, his thoughts and his way with children and understanding of him and the world around him and his creations that helped stem the world of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood as we know it today. His show would also dive into such serious topics like death, divorce, war and even regards to what assassination means in the wake of John F. Kennedys murder. It contains archival footage of his show, news reals, and interviews with him, as well as recent interviews with his wife Joanne, Francois Clemmons (Officer Clemmons) David Newell (original Mr. McFeely) Joe Negri (Handyman Negri) Yo-Yo Ma, and many others including his two sons. Insightful, funny, dramatic, and tear jerking, this is a must watch for all of you fans of this show and its original version as well as documentarians everywhere. It's in theaters now and you MUST watch it. It gets from me a 10 out of 10.

well, you get an understanding of what he was having to deal with which is what made it sad. and even the stuff he would of had to deal with in this day in age makes this all the more sad and insightful.

If it happened nowadays, people would get pissed for what that church accused him of being supportive of gay people. I guess its good to have some extreme groups like LGBTQ for some things.
