My SoFurry account is, from this point on, going to be dead.
The SoFurry site has updated their AUP that prohibits the posting of lewd cub content and demands it's removal personally or they will remove it themselves.
Considering that a huge portion of my art content is cub and pretty much all of my stories are too, it doesn't make any sense to stay there.
Worse yet, I'm not the only cub fur on there whose probably put out by this. SoFurry was a nice place for all manner of media content and it was made all the more attractive because, for nearly a decade, cub writers and artists could post there without fear of their content being blocked like it would be at sites like FurAffinity.
Well, now they are blocking that content and, in my opinion, it's a pretty dumb move because SoFurry didn't offer anything exclusive besides its accessibility. Well, now if you have adult content that doesn't include cub you can just post on FA, and if you have cub content you can just post it here, or if you have SFW content, there's Weasyl.
Like I said there I too shall say here, I don't care about people's opinions on the ethics and morality of drawings using pixels, ink and pencil. But telling a sizable chunk of your userbase that they need to trim their collective content is probably a bad move when it goes against everything they supported for nearly ten years, but hey.... mediocrity isn't so bad.
